Contributor Rewards

Overview

When a contributor uploads their data they will be entitled to a perpetual share of emissions. Each contributor will be entitled to a share of escrow contract distributions in perpetuity, thus providing access to long term revenues generated by the data.

Rewards are distributed proportionally based on a contributor’s Overall Score, ranging from 0.0 to 1.0. The Overall Score is calculated based on two components:

• Category Score: Calculated by the Proof of Quality function

• Category Weights: Weights for the category scores, voted on by governance

N.B. Category weights will be controlled by the PrimeInsights team until the governance system is deployed.

Category Scores

The Proof of Quality function will return Category Scores for each dataset provided by the user, these 7 categories are:

• Cart items

• Digital Items

• Retail Order History

• Audible Purchase History

• Audible Library

• Audible Membership Billings

• Prime Video Viewing History

Category Scores of 1.0 will represent a complete data set and a score of 0.0 represents an empty data set. Scores will remain static between data uploads and will be weighted by the Category Weights at the end of each period to calculate the Overall Score.

Category Weights

Category Weights will be applied to each of the seven Category Scores. These weights will be decided through gauge voting by nirVANA holders. At the end of each epoch, the voted upon weight for each category will be updated and applied for the following epoch.

Until the implementation of the governance mechanism, the weights will be set by the PrimeInsights team.
